Those running boards, those mirror caps, that white gold metallic...my god, it even has a watermark! Hope they like Huey Lewis and the News. Well, my power-to-weight ratio is more favorable, which is nice!

You know what they say, great minds think alike. Also good to find another WK2 owner on oppo!

So much chrome and so many black plastic bits.

The chrome tells you it’s luxurious while the black plastic bits tell you it’s adventurous (within a safe and controlled environment)! It’s a businessman in a tracksuit...edgy!

How many minds greater than ours? None more greater (excluding the other 200,000 plus US owners yearly since 2010)!

Well if I recall correctly, yours is a FWD base, so...that would be almost every other Grand Cherokee sold.
The Overland is actually a really nice rig.

When I see an Odyssey Touring Elite, I just smugly think "You paid $8 grand for the same crappy car, but with paint-matched lowers, blinkers in the mirrors, audible backup sensors, and a tiny Shop Vac (literally)."

Ah yes, the familiar sight of parking near the lesser trim. It is a time honored tradition. One of grandstanding, showmanship, and in some cases even a mating ritual (LOOK AT WHAT I CAN PROVIDE! OUR CHILDREN WILL RIDE TO VALHALLA - ETERNAL AND CHROME (mirror caps)). Which is why whenever I park I try to pull up next to a base fiesta. I want them to stare longingly at my rear spoiler, lowered suspension, and 6-speed manual and think to themselves “....Why did this idiot spend 25k on a 15k car?” but deep down I know - they’re actually jealous. And they care about my turbocharger and lowered suspension. They will go back to where they came from and drink in the dark, pondering where their life went wrong.

We have a blue ‘14 Overland. Well, not we. My wife. My wife wanted the Overland, so she bought one. It’s a nice vehicle.

I personally prefer the blue one.

I actually much prefer the simpler look of yours. Never been a fan of chrome and running boards.

Mines pretty slick since it’s a Laredo X. So no adaptive cruise control, leather on the dash, heated steering wheel, motorized tailgate, or sunroof. But I still get the 5.7L HEMI V8 driving the REAR wheels, the parking sensors, backup camera, leather seats, heated seats, navigation, XM radio, sub woofer, tow package, and some other neat stuff they stopped offering for the 2014 refresh. I got the most reliable and durable spec I could think of. By the way Im up to 68,559 miles from 32,000 in September! Not even a check fuel cap or low tire pressure light!

My mom bought an new Overland Summit. It is really nice. She only got the V6 (disappoint), but still a good truck.

I like the fact that nearly 90% of the people that own or know some that owns a WK2 states they are a) mother, b) wife, c) neighbor’s wife. Lol, I believe it because out here all the ladies drive all the newer jeeps, luxury cars, and WRXs.

Well she sold off her 2014 Dodge 3500 Crew Cab Dually (tow rig) and our big boat, but still needed something to fit toys and tow the small boats. She actually uses her’s which is nice, but I digress, you are very correct with that statement.
